Check out Father Ted.
I hear that they are making an "Americanization" of it: I can 100% gaurantee you that it will be awful. Get a hold of the original if at all possible. It is one of the funniest comedy shows of all time; written by and starring Irish commedians, and produced by a British sudio (channel 4).
Also, you have to see Fawlty Towers, if you have not yet done so. It stars John Cleese (of python fame) (Again an attrocious americanization was made: avoid at all costs). As of the original: twelve episodes of insipered genuis! A must see.
