There's an existing system like that set up at
Game Trading Zone. I set up a membership with them back when I was looking for the Disgaea Player's Guide, and although I've only done four trades, it's a good system. You can also list your collection, whether to keep people from offering you games you already own or for bragging rights. My page:

On the subject at hand, I recently brought my one-day old copy of Mega Man Anniversary Collection for GC in to a Gamestop since I found the controls unintuitive. They offered me $12 for a $30 game, and I came home and sold it on eBay for a $1 loss. Definitely the way to go, although I do still enjoy shopping at those chains for used stuff myself.
