Will and I have been unofficially talking about marriage within months of getting together. We're pretty much planning on getting married and we pretty much have the mindset/committment that we already are. For us, it's a matter of logic. I'm 21 and graduating college in a year and he's 23 getting his masters at the end of this summer and a job in teaching this fall. We want to wait until i've graduated and are both financially stable.
While i've heard the argument that living in together before marriage is bad, and even learned about the statistics in psychology class, I tend to disagree. I DO agree that marriage is a good way to force people to talk out their problems.. but some people just aren't meant to work things out! You have to be compatible in the first place and I think that's the main reason people move in together.. Get a feel for their compatibility and how they work together. Are bathroom/eating habits going to be a problem, etc?

Exactly.. Just because someone is living in together and not married doesn't mean they don't already have the committment or attitude of marriage that only the legal document "piece of paper" can officialize. Marriage really isn't anything but better economic benefits yet we've romanticized it so much through the wedding.
