Ditto. They so blatantly rip people off it's not even funny.
When Metal Gear Solid 2 came out, it was $50. My cousin and I both bought a copy only to find it was f'n 7 hours long. He beat it in the first night he got it, played it a few more times, and by the end of the first week was ready to trade it in. EB/GameStop wouldn't give him more than $10 for it!!
It had NO scratches and was perfectly brand new, yet we looked over and saw other used copies of MGS2 all going for over $40.
The used game policies of these stores irritates me to no end, and coupled with the fact that a lot of games these days, IMO, aren't worth $50, made me get the chip.
If you wanna sell a used game, do it on ebay. As long as your game is in good shape, has the case, instruction manual, and everything else that came with it, there's absolutely no reason for you to get below 75% of it's retail value because, let's face it, you could re-shrink wrap the thing and there would be absolutely no difference between that and a brand new copy aside from the mental comfort of "ah, this is brand new and no one else has touched this"
