Back when I lived in apartments, the only
friends I had among my neighbors didn't share walls with me. There's something about hearing what people sound like in the bathroom that sort of gets in the way of really making friends with them.
There's WAY more neighborliness in my current neighborhood--a row of single-family houses--than there ever was in any apartment building I ever lived in.
