Rigth click on the desktop and go to Properties. Under one of the Tabs there should be a Customize Desktop button. Click taht and another window will open. In this window you should be able to select which standard icons appear on the desktop. You can choose their icons here too.

Do not confuse altruism with kindness, good will or respect for the rights of others. These are not primaries, but consequences, which, in fact, altruism makes impossible.
