I would suggest this as well, my family has always used one of these whenever we have a mouse running around, and it has always worked. No messy crushed mouse, no smells. Just throw some peanut butter in the end, wait, and then bring it out in some field and drop it off. Won't even have to feel bad because the mice don't have to die! Rats though... I've never had that problem, but I think you would need a bit bigger tube for them
