Catalyst MMC question....again.

I may have whined about this before...

I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP. Instead of using the installation cd that came with my Radeon 9000 64MB DDR VIVO, I simply downloaded the most recent Catalyst driver, Control Panel and MMC. I did this because the installation cd contains version 7.x of each, and I thought I would save myself some time by simply doing a clean install with the latest versions.

Well, it works just fine, except for one detail: there is no VideoIN utility in the MMC. When I installed the MMC, I opted to install all the features, but apparently VideoIN does not come with the MMC anymore. I always found the version 7.x of the MMC's VideoIN to be an extremely useful tool, and perfect for capturing DVD-quality video...after all, capturing video is the reason I went for the VIVO model of Radeon 9000.

Why is there no VideoIN? And how do I get it, without having to remove the latest MMC and install the old ancient version from the cd? The only reason I can think of why there is no VideoIN in the MMC is because it is capable of encoding MPEG-2 video, and MPEG-2 is expensive to license, the last I heard, so ATI might not want to include it for free in their openly available MMC downloads.

Any ideas?
