Handheld camera work isnt always annoying. Remember the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan, with the gritty, bouncing camera that made you feel like you were right there in the action?

Now that said, it is clearly a tool, and tools must be used where it is appropriate. I havent seen the movie yet, but if it wasnt appropriate, which from what I gather here, it wasnt, then it shouldnt have been used.
