I like the PS2 for its awsome Library of games and free online service. Also for awhile the PS2 was the only DVD player in my house. I have had no troubles with bugs at all.
I bought an Xbox to play the games that my computer cant play since its old. I love the big Xbox controller because its so gaudy.
I dont like the GameCube because it has the worst controller of all 3 and its more geared toward little kids.
In answer to your questions.
I dont break the law when it comes to counsels and games, So I dont know about mod chips and game burning.
The Xbox does have a DVD player but only after you buy the remote for it.
