Shit... Even a bar with a nice patio on a busy street where you can toss your shittiest "i'm only here for one night and don't care" lines at every nice set of TNA that walks by would be nice.
As far as music goes, I don't think I'll be in much of a mood for high-paced or heavy beat music, some rock, punk, local stuff, something other than what I'd hear everywhere else.

For the TnA action, you'll want to walk 5 blocks West, to the water, and possibly a bit north or south, to 1st Ave / Pioneer Square area. Lots of meat market TnA and bad music.
But I'd take a cab up the hill to Chop Suey or Neumos (they're pretty close to eachother) and see what's happening there. They're the best bar/clubs in Seattle, for music and people. If you arrive on the 18th,
THIS looks good for a wednesday in Seattle.
