the Exorcist, hands down. the story is solid, the acting is solid, and that demon that pops on and off screen at unlikely times keeps you on edge. then you have the whole 'based on a true story' edge, too.
Event Horizen is the only movie to almost make me leave the theater. i was 18 or so... i hadn't been frightened or made uncomfortable by a movie in about a decade.... but EH scared me shitless.
