no offense, i say this with every best intention, but maybe you should seek professional help.
a little paranoia is alright, but if it's ruling your life and causing you to live in fear, then you should do something out of it so you can get the most of your life.
not that i have an M.D. but have you ever had any traumatic experiences in your life?
also, you know what might help you overcome your fears? Camping out. Try it twice, once with a friend to share a tent with you, the second time try it alone.
