This thread is dedicated to movies that you love, despite them being painful to watch or attempt to think about critically. I just watched the 1966 Adam West Batman film with my friends (one had only seen part of it, the other hadn't seen it at all). This movie is both absolutely hilarious, but makes absolutely no sense. The best parts involve Batman and Robin deciphering clues.
Commissioner Gordon reading clue: "What weighs 6 ounces, sits in a tree, and is very dangerous?"
Robin: "Easy! A sparrow a machine gun!"
Batman: "Exactly, Robin!"
The machine gun did not have anything to do with the actual meaning of the riddle.
The deductive logic throughout the film makes no sense, the science throughout the film makes no sense, the plot details make no sense, the acting is attrocious, the special effects are...less than special.
Yes, I know they intended it to be campy, and they succeeded so thouroughly. I cringe trying to make logical sense out of it, but I love it so much almost because of that.
Any movies like this for you?
