There is no coast highway to Alaska. You can drive to the tip of Vancouver island, take a ferry to Prince Rupert and then another ferry to Alaska, but it's busy and expensive in Alaska, so I'd stay right here in BC...and you have to be 21 for you know what.
I'd recommend a road trip to Northern BC. Go to Smithers and take the Dempster highway...you won't soon forget you trip.
