That's no longer the issue it once was. The best players in the world - be they Canadian, American, Russian, Swedish, etc - are all playing in the NHL now. Everyone is equally handicapped, really. Canada has won the last 2 years with their best guys in the Stanley Cup playoffs and unavailable.
