No, I don't try to kill the bad guys necessarily. I think more about how I would I would direct a scene for Jason, my favorite slasher villain. I usually don't find myself rooting for the teenage victims at all, I root for Jason to look as cool as possible, and if that includes killing Katie Holmes, so be it!
