A few years back, I got this spray bottle of citrus acid stuff that removes the residue completely. That's pretty good.
Don't remember seeing it on TV though.

just an FYI, but WD40 works INCREDIBLY well for removing that gunk stuff. I tried citrus stuff, "Goo Gone" and it works great, but WD40 is cheaper and works just as well. Doesn't smell as good
