regardless......
she did a hit and run ( she didnt leave a note on the car) depending on the laws in your state in addition to being liable for the damages (your friend can take the car to any body shop he wants, no matter how much they charge) she could potentiall pay a fine and/or go to jail (hit and run is a mistemeanor)
