The Plaza Hotel, in NYC, last time I checked, still did a high tea, it was a little to Ritzy for me (I'm just a simple girl at heart)
I took my niece to The American Girl Store's Cafe for tea, I think she was 9 at the time, she was all impressed with having juice and fancy cakes before dinner.
My younger niece comes over occassionally for tea parties with Auntie Em, but can't wait til she's old enough to get dressed up to go out for cake with me. She thinks the getting d ressed up and going out is cool .... (wait'll she has to work for a living-- she'll change her mind)
Your tea house sounds charming - and a lot of fun - -nice experience for the young girls
