I've lived through the Manny ordeal (his agent was a greedy fuck as shown on the ESPN documentary of what happened) and the Thome ordeal (Dolan was just cheap and Thome, a good union boy, took the more lucrative Philly offer because the union asked him to.)
But this Boozer deal just sucks. The man gave his word to the Cavs and they did all they could to show he was wanted.
It's like when Wells said he was signing with Phoenix then turned around and said the Yankees gave him a better offer.
All these guys are showing is that sports is about the money and not the team anymore. But ask Shaq, A-Rod (while on the Rangers) and others if putting money before team wins you anything.
Say what you will about JR. he has my undying respect because he said he wanted to play in Cincy and made it happen, by accepting the best offer Cincy could give him (even though other teams at the time would have offered more).

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
