I agree, it sounds like total crap to me.
The Cavs chose Boozer in the draft after many, many teams passed over him. He frequently mentioned that as a reason why he would be loyal to the team. Fact is, the Cavs had no intention on letting him go. Sure they would have made off well only having to pay him a long term deal at the mid level exception, but he verbally agreed. Also, as previously mentioned, they could have paid him his low salary then eventually matched any offer at the end of next year. Shame on Boozer if the reports are accurate, this is a blow to the Cavs, the east, and the entire league as a whole.
