Another thing you may want to look into is a beater for daily driving and just drive the WRX occasionally (wink wink) many times with a multiple car discount and the newer car listed as diven occasionally you can save big dollars, especially with certain companies. And yes I agree many stock tires suck major ass, it is amazing how much difference tires can make in bad weather.
