Buy a bunch of babyfood jars. Number the bottoms, write down the foods and number them according to the numbers on the jars, then take off the labels. Pass them around to everyone and whoever can identify the most foods just by color, and appearance wins. Then you can give the list and jars to the mother. Don't open them or they won't keep long enough.
Also play a bingo game. Make a square of about 16 squares. Read off a list of baby items and have everyone write them in the squares anywhere they want, any order. Everytime mom opens a present people can put an X in the square with that item. Whoever gets their X's in a row first wins.
