For me, it doesn't have to be dark, heavy or violent. It doesn't have to be a particular genre. It just has to be something that caught my ear and has a good "pulse".
I don't know if I could really listen to all of the "80s movie achievement anthems" while working out. Nothing against them, they just remind me of the movies too much.
