I don't have a trash can indoors. I hang plastic grocery bags from the cabinet and carry them out to the dumpster when they're full.
As for what's in the bag du jour:
-- coffee filter full of used coffee grounds
-- styrofoam trays from a package of split chicken breasts and a package of sliced mushrooms
-- lid and straw from a fountain soda
-- cardboard tube from a spent roll of paper towels
-- used aluminum foil
-- assorted food waste
-- cigarette butts
