The carbohydrates that you're supposed to keep away from are sugars (this includes alcohol
) and highly processed starches like white bread. If you decide to watch your carbs, make sure you get enough fibre in your diet, it's considered a carbohydrate but your body doesn't digest it, so fibre serves to push all the crap (literally) out of your system.
You may have less energy than normal if you reduce your carbs, feel free to go to the gym, but don't push yourself if you start feeling lightheaded and weak, and get plenty of water like folks have said.
