seriously though, the person who wears a bands shirt to a concert, while i have nothing wrong with it, does tend to get looked at as a dumbass.... exceptions involve if like they have some sort of awesome jacket pieced together with leather and band patches, those are cool. especially at iron maiden shows.

This applies to wearing a shirt of a band other than the one that's playing? I thought "that guy" was just the one wearing the shirt of the band that he's going to see.
I usually wear either my Godflesh T shirt (with the "Streetcleaner" cover) or Ministry hockey jersey ("Animositisomina" logo on the front, number 69 and "fornicatour" across the back). The only time I wear the shirt of a band I'm seeing is when I actually buy the shirt at the concert and find wearing it easier than carrying it around.
