I parked my car in the back this morning intending to get some pictures. As I was taking them, the girls floated by and into the frame.
So anyway, I was just pulling the pics off the camera and checking them out and it struck me all over again how good life can be!
The girls aren't 18 year old supermodels, but they are easy to look at, fun to be around, and best of all, my wife and our friends.
The car isn't a bazillion dollar Lambo, but I like it and it's a practical ride normal people can enjoy that I'm not frightened to take out on public streets and best of all, mine.
The pool isn't a half-acre custom grotto with Italian marble, waterfalls and statuary but the water is clean and refreshing, private, and it's ours, all ours (well ours and the bank).
What I'm trying to say is that so many of us spend so much time arguing and wanting, myself included, about things we don't truly know or care about that we might be missing the finer things in life. Things that might be right under our own nose. Things we take for granted.
Among those things, our wonderful country (obviously I'm speaking as an American here) which despite its arguable flaws is still the best place for most of us to ever be.
Have a great 4th of July all you people. I have go get off the computer and go jump on a raft!
