But that doesn't mean that these kids don't have the right to do this. It may not be socially acceptable, but it is perfectly within their rights. As long as no public money has anything to do with this, we have no right to force these kids to desegregate their event. But it's our responibility to voice our disapproval of what they are doing, let them know that it's not right. Hopefully they'll change on their own, and that's the best we can hope for.
Unfortunately, many times ignorance in this vein will only disappear with the generations.

so then when jocks have their own events the geeks/nerds should be allowed there too? Or when Mr/Ms Popular has an event that they organize and plan, should be forced to have the people they don't want there? I understand what you are saying but it has to go all the way or no way.
