Ok, here's the deal, people. I'm starting a new policy with webcams. What we have now is mediocre-to-boring, so I'm gonna make it a little bit more interesting.
What do you need to get on the webcam page?
1. A webcam.
2. A personality.
3. A face that doesn't scare small children.
4. Your own hotlinkable webspace is good, but not needed because I can provide hosting.
How do you get yourself on the webcam page?
1. Set up your 3rd party webcam software properly (options and instructions below)
2. Send a PM to me
How do you STAY on the webcam page?
1. You need to update your webcam at least once every couple of days. Once a day is ideal.
2. Show emotion, art, commentary or humor on your cam.
3. Cams that have not been updated in a month will be removed.
WHY be on the webcam page?
1. You get to experess yourself.
2. You get recognized on the board.
3. You help the TFP be a more interesting place.
4. Everyone's gonna be doing it. Just you see!
What's not allowed on the webcams?
1. Underaged kids.
OK, on to the technical bit:
You can use one of many webcam programs:
chillcam,
webcam32,
VisionGS,
conquercam, etc...
Some are just demos and you need to buy them.. some are completely free. For what you're using it for, you should be able to get by with a free one like chillcam.
The following is ARTelevision's guide to a couple of the webcam programs:
