Weeee, you lose all credibility for using a quote that out of context. She was talking to people who donated up to 10,000 a plate at a fund raiser. She was talking about Bush's tax cuts which are widely seen as excessive by the best economists in America (Read: Warren Buffet).
You said democrats are socialists. The article shows them pandering to the rich. Bill reduced social welfare and signed NAFTA, those actions are clearly not socialist.
You said republicans are populists. You're a freaking ignorant person, no offence, but seriously, populists? Authoritarian and pandering to the business vote equals fascist, not populist. How someone could confuse the two is beyond me.
If anything, both parties have shifted to the right side of the political spectrum. See, the article talked about how democrats started pandering to business and lost the worker vote. Republicans have always pandered to the business vote. Thus, the democrats lost their base and the Republicans kept theirs.
