A variation on the pulled pork that we use:
BBQ Pork (or Beef)
1 large pork butt (if it is too big for your crockpot, cut it in two and freeze the other part)
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 bottle your favorite brand bbq sauce (we use KC Masterpiece original usually)
1. Place the pork butt in the crockpot, pour in enough water to come up about half way on the pork. Season the pork with Salt and Pepper.
2. Cook on high heat for 6-8 hours
3. Drain water from crockpot
4. Using a large serving fork and knife, shred the pork inside the crockpot. (it should be easy, but be careful, it's hot)
5. Pour in your bottle of bbq sauce (or most of it), stir in really well.
6. Put crockpot on low and cook for another 1-2 hours
--------
Another good recipe, especially for you bachleors out there.
2-3 chicken breasts
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1-2 cups of rice
Spray bottom of crockpot with vegetable oil (to help keep rice from sticking too badly)
put rice in bottom of crockpot
put chicken on top of rice
pour cans of mushroom soup over all of it and let it cook for about 6 hours on low heat.
This makes a really great meal to cook while you are at work.
