For a good cigar at reasonable prices I go for Honduran (no specific brand). I have yet to be unhappy...
Tobacco quality is more than just the seeds, there seems to be an effect from soil, climate, etc.
Most (not comfortable saying all) Hondurans are made from Cuban-seed tobacco. Plus the climate, etc is very close to Cuba so the cigar actually tastes similar to a Cuban (for a LOT less money)
Also, some of the best growers left Cuba and many ended up in Honduras.
