I still don't see how it's blaming the victim when in this case, we were largely responsible for funding and aiding those groups against the Soviets and Iran which are now against us.
And if only it were as simple as our life style being an affront to their beliefs. It's not, however. No one is simply born there and suddenly believes that we are threatening their existence. It is usually when they see it or hear it that they get those ideas.
