I get tired of the trend of guys online who jump all over a girl who has a differing opinion of her. It doesn't happen so much here, but I've seen it in other places. The reply is usually "Oh well you're just a fat ugly bitch anyway." It's obnoxious.
How can it stop? Lead by example. Don't like the words? Don't use them. And when your friends use them, let them know how you feel about it. Maybe they'll come around too.

I agree with you... However, I don't see this as a feminist thing...
It is fine to reclaim a word and use it to describe yourself, much the way that some blacks have reclaimed Nigger thereby diffusing the prejorative...
That said, as much as you can co-opt the word you can't copt the intent. Guys who say, "I'd hit that Bitch" or racists who use the word Nigger are still being derogatory.
It's rude and disrespectful... but worse it's lazy.
Most of the idiots throwing Bitch around do so to be glib. "It doesn't mean anything, I'm just goofing around." I'd argue it just underscores a general contempt they have for women.
