Hmm. I don't get what the authorities of Cyprus have to do with consenting adults private life.
Drugs are a factor at almost all parties so what's the big deal?
I mean come on this is ridiculous. Interpol? INTERPOL?? For a bunch of young adults having a party?? WTF.

The outrage is Cyprus goverment's involvement in stopping the party not the party itself.
For the other question at hand,
If I knew everyone was 100% clean and I was single, I wouldn't hesitate one secdond going on a trip like that. Expanding ones horizons is always a good thing.
