amen to that. driving home down melbourne road last saturday evening (~6pm), it was fucking horrible conditions - pissing rain, pitch black, and busy as fuck. yet a P plate VN hammers past in the emergency lane at i'd estimate 130km/h. now seriously, thats fucking stupid.
I couldnt believe when i found out earlier in the year, that learner drivers in NSW before the change of laws could have alcohol in their bloodstream (0.02 i think it was). irregardless of the experienced driver in the passanger seat, it only takes a split second for something major to go wrong, why add alcohol into th equation? I was a happy man when i read they changed it to 0.00.
as for powerful cars and learners - i'm indifferent. having never driven a more powerful car than a corolla, i cant say. however, it would make sense that if a P plater can't drive a V8, then why would a learner driver be able to?
