As someone who is currently dealing with workmans compensation i can only tell you that they will do everything they can to screw you over. if i were you i would get a phone number to call directly to the insurance adjuster that is handling your case so there is no third party misconceptions. as to the paperwork, yes you need to return it to them, your medical records cannot be accessed by the company until you do so, and im sure they want to make sure you were tested for drugs and all that other nonsense in order for them to pay up in full. no matter what you do, dont pay a damn cent. You will mostly likely never see that money reimbursed in this lifetime. Goodluck dealing with the insurance company, red tape and craploads of paperwork are what make companies like that run.
