You can't spot-reduce fat. Doing ab excercises won't make your gut go away, it'll just build muscle beneath it (but that means you'll have a six-pack ready to go once you've lost the fat).
If you want to lose the weight, the only answer is cardio and a good diet. There are a lot of threads here about nutrition, if you read a little, you should be able to find out a lot.
