Everything i have read has said differently. Could be i am looking in all the wrong places, but there seems to be a concensus that Holden adapted the Omega platform for the Monaro.

So if its not based on teh Omega/Catera, please tell me what it is based on, because as all the GTO opponents will tell you, its clearly not a new design.
