Could you elaborate on this myth? You mean the myth that the Lakers are the most popular and celebrated team in the NBA (which is fact)? You mean the myth that this particular Lakers team was destined to win the title (which of course is not true)? If you are saying that the Lakers losing this finals series shatters the whole Laker legacy then that's not true either.
Also, this is another shot at the supposed selfishness of the Lakers, a team that was 4th in the league in assists per game.
