My name is Grumpy, and I was wrong. I picked the Lakers in 6
But I own my mistakes, much like the Pistons have owned the Lakers. I watched the Pistons all season, and, while I knew that they were the beast in the east, I bought into the smoke and mirrors hype about the Western Conference. I overestimated the Lakers almost as much as they overestimate themselves, and I am ashamed.
But I am no Kobe! I am not more interested in my own success at the cost of the team's. I don't need to be the MVP to justify myself. A Piston championship, in however many games it takes, will thrill me! (But a win in game 5 will be extra sweet!
