I'm so much more aware of how proud I am to be Canadian when I'm reminded of the amazing contributions this great nation has made to the world.
I was up at 3am to watch the ceremony live but I think it was the least I could do to give my many thanks to all those brave souls who willingly gave their lives for freedom.
We should hope that we never have to face such brutality again, let their lives not be in vain, learn from the mistakes of the past and let them remain just that.
