The main reason Drew and Weaver dropped out of the top ten is their agent Scott Boras. Teams were scared of the prospect of having to pay these guys a ton of money. In fact, Boras feels Weaver could play almost immediately for the Angels, thus he will try to get the Angels to give Weaver a major league contract. Most draftee get big signing bonuses, but relatively small salaries. Boras will try to get both for Weaver.
