1. You can actually go to a funeral of a republican president and not be republican or vote for bush. So i'd say it's about 50/50, just like the normal population

2. Yes, definitely. Clinton's would have a much more diverse group of onlookers, more minorities and Carter is one of the presidents who went on to do great things for the community and world after his presidency, (habitat for humanity, etc) so his line would be just as strong. Also, there is just something about a presidential funeral that people want to attend. it's a moment in history, of passing, and people want to attend and be a part.

3. I haven't heard much from the liberal press, but i can say that there is much speculation of how bush will spin reagan's death into a way of bashing kerry and helping the republican ticket...
