Don't you just know there was a major "oh shit!" moment between the time the first side mirror was crushed and the when the other mirror was smashed?
I must say, the SLK is a rigid sumbitch for its size. The roof is sprung but the driver certainly didn't need to depend on his roll bar for protection.
