I have the IC7-Max3 and have the exact same noise. It only happens after a reboot, but usually restarting the system again works. It seems like me the fan can get a tiny bit out of alignment and start smacking the heatsink. Not sure why the restart fixes it, but it hasn't failed me yet. No way I can go withouth my Mobo either.
