It's getting way better reviews than the first two movies. Roger Ebert gave it 3.5 stars out of 4. He believes that it doesn't deserve 4 stars because some people that haven't read the books (and some younger people that have) may get confused during the movie. That's probably the jumping-around aspect you're talking about. 3.5 stars is still an incredible score, though!
Me and my girlfriend are seeing it tomorrow. I can't wait!
