As a BOFH myself, I've done many similar things - noting down e-mails and websites that the bosses went to and shouldn't have - and then complained when their access went away.
"Oh I'm sorry, you can't hit a website? Weird, seems to work fine here. What's the URL? Not important? Well, I'll give it a shot anyways, we've been having problems with the firewall. Thanks for the raise!"
